1.   Who is responsible for the entry of non-Canadian citizens into Canada?

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is responsible for matters relating to the entry of non-Canadians into Canada, including persons seeking entry as immigrants, visitors, refugees, students, or workers.


2.   Do all non-Canadians require a visa to enter Canada?

No. The citizens of some countries are exempt from the visa requirement. Find out if you need a visa to enter Canada before leaving your country of citizenship.


3.   Are there visa officers at all Canadian government offices overseas?

Visa officers are located at Canadian visa offices overseas. At Canadian government offices without visa officers, arrangements are made to forward visa applications to the nearest visa office.
